Songsterr Room Sync

Prototype for synchronizing Songsterr playback across Chrome browsers by room name.

Run backend

cd backend
npm start

The backend listens on ws://localhost:8787.

Load extension

1. Open chrome://extensions.
2. Enable Developer mode.
3. Load unpacked extension from the extension folder.
4. Open the same Songsterr tab in two browser profiles or two browsers.
5. Join the same room name in the extension popup.
6. On the leader browser, set the desired bar/loop/source and press Start +3s.

The backend broadcasts a server-stamped startAt = serverNow + 3000 ms. Clients apply the leader settings, seek to the leader bar, and click Play at that shared timestamp. The timestamp is displayed in Moscow time in the popup.
